Dr. Michael J. Giesy

Dr. Michael J. Giesy was born and raised in Tacoma, WA.    A graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and Washington State University, Dr. Giesy went on to receive his Doctorate of Dentistry from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry.    

Dr. Giesy is a member of the American Dental Association, Pierce County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Osseointegration.  Dr. Giesy received his fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists three years ago.  

While maintaining a thriving general dentistry practice, Dr. Giesy has expanded his practice to include the placement of dental implants.  For over four years, Dr. Giesy has lectured nationwide to other general dentists on all aspects of implant dentistry and bone regenerative techniques.  

Dr. Giesy was featured in the 2006 issue of Seattle magazine as the top dentist in Pierce County and also recognized as “Top Dentist” by the Consumer Council of America for 2006 and 2010.  

Dr. Giesy married his high school sweetheart Michele.  They have twins, Katie and Tanner.  The Giesy family enjoys family movie nights, golf, and water sports.  Most of all you will not find a dentist more passionate to making your first impression, your best!

Kristina Cooper, Certified Dental Assistant

Kristina began working for Dr. Giesy three years ago after attending Bryman College.

Kristina, her family (and her fish, Scoop) enjoy outdoor sports and going to movies together.  Kristina loves kids and is excited to come to work every day.   

MaryKay Figueroa, Registered Dental Hygienist

Mary Kay has worked with Dr. Giesy for over eleven years.

Mary Kay and her husband have two children.  Their vacations are spent at the ocean in California and going to visit family in Texas.  Mary Kay treats her patients like family and loves her career.    

Sandy Perry, Patient Relations

Sandy has been with Dr. Giesy for over seven years and has an extensive background in general and pediatric dentistry.  

Outside of work, Sandy and her husband have fun fishing, traveling, and playing with Buddy.  They have one daughter and much of Sandy’s time is spent enjoying the grandkids.  

Shelly Webster, Certified Dental Assistant

Shelly has assisted Dr. Giesy for over eleven years.

Shelly and her spouse of 32 years have two children.  They go camping, enjoy movie nights and family dinners.  She believes when you’re happy at home, you’re happy at work.  It certainly is true for her!

Sherri Dinkins, Patient Coordinator

Sherri has worked for Dr. Giesy for eleven years.  She has worked in dentistry for over 21 years.

Sherri and her husband have three boys.  There’s never a dull moment for the Dinkins family!  There are plenty of basketball games, Cub Scout meetings and family gatherings to attend.  Both at home and at work, Sherri likes working as a team to accomplish her goals.

Terry Wallace, Certified Dental Assistant

Terry has been with Dr. Giesy for over eleven years.  

Terry and her husband have one daughter.  When she’s not at work, Terry and her family enjoy riding bicycles, going to the movies, ice skating, motorcycling, taking art classes, and of course, laughing together.
