Meet Our Dental Team!
Front Office Coordinator
Teresa is most likely the first person who will greet you at our Tacoma dental office. She attended Clover Park Vocational College for Dental Assisting and spent six years as a Dental Assistant before transferring to the front office. Teresa lectured at dental seminars and worked as a dental consultant around the nation before transitioning back into the dental office setting.
Originally from Gig Harbor, WA, she has been working with Dr. Giesy since 2012. Teresa especially enjoys building friendships with patients and their families and making them smile. The staff is some of her best friends and she looks forward to spending time with them every day.
Teresa has two children, Heather and CJ. She loves watching Heather dance on the Gig Harbor Dance Team and choreograph for her students at Harbor Dance as well as watching CJ play on the GH Tides football and basketball teams.
When she’s not camping with her family, she enjoys traveling to her favorite places — Playa del Carmen, Mexico and Las Vegas.
Registered Dental Hygienist
Kacia has been with Giesy Family & Implant Dentistry since 2007. She grew up in Tacoma, WA and attended the Pierce College Dental Hygiene (PCDH) program.
Kacia enjoys helping her patients improve their oral health on a daily basis and developing close relationships with them. She enjoys being part of a dental team that is well trained, competent, and always puts patient care first. One of her favorite things is our monthly potluck when we break bread and dine together. She says: “This a very special group of people.”
Aside from dentistry, Kacia is a hard-working mom of three, Hamilton, Holden, and Anna. She values family time, camping, traveling around the Northwest, and playing softball to stay active.
Certified Expanded Functional Dental Auxiliary
Kathy has been in the dental industry since she was 14 and attended Bates Technical College to become a Certified Dental Assistant. Later she attended South Puget Sound Community College to become licensed as an EFDA – Expanded Functional Dental Auxiliary.
As a genuinely passionate EFDA, Kathy adores placing fillings and learning more about her field. She finds satisfaction in using her training to help patients have efficient and anxiety-free visits.
Kathy was selected and appointed to the Washington State Department of Health Dental Quality Assurance Commission (DQAC) in 2017. She also participates in the EFDA education program subcommittee.
Kathy was born and raised in Tacoma and loves her cat Samson, camping, and attending all the local fairs and festivals during the summer in North Tacoma.

Family Dentist in Tacoma, Washington
Dr. Giesy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University and became a Doctor of Dental Medicine after graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry.
Dr. Giesy married his high school sweetheart, Michele to whom he has been married for over 22 years. They have two beautiful teenage twins, Katie and Tanner, and the best dog ever, Cooper.
He loves music. Michele tells us that he is currently obsessed with all 80s soundtracks.
Being an active dad, he spends most of his time attending kids sporting events and performances. He loves all things summer: water-sports, being out in the sun, boating, but he hates the cold!
The Giesy family enjoys family movie nights, golf, and traveling somewhere adventurous. Born and raised in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington, Dr. Giesy is a WSU Cougar fan who loves the Pacific Northwest and loves the community around him. Most of all, you will not find a dentist more passionate about making each dental visit your best yet!
