A woman smiling because Bioclear veneers are a cost effective, quick and easy fix to minor dental imperfections. Do your teeth have cosmetic issues you would love to fix? Are you worried about the cost, time, or discomfort if you get treatment? Those are certainly valid concerns. The team at Giesy Family & Implant Dentistry understands your worries, and we are always on the lookout for anything that will make our patients' treatments faster, easier, and more effective. We are very excited about being able to offer you a more effective and long-term cost-saving way to enhance your smile - Bioclear®. What kind of smile flaws can Bioclear® treatment fix and how does it save you money, time, and discomfort?

What is Bioclear®?

Bioclear® was created as an alternative for treating certain dental issues besides conventional tooth bonding, porcelain veneers, or dental crowns. It uses a patented technology that involves injecting warmed composite into customized forms. This process creates a solid restoration that is very strong and natural looking. Bioclear® can be used to treat a variety of dental issues, such as:
  • Black triangles - Those gaps left between teeth near the gum line because of gum recession
  • Vertical gaps between teeth
  • Teeth that are too small or uneven in size
  • Repairing damage to teeth caused by decay

How can Bioclear® cost less?

If you face any of the dental issues mentioned above, your dentist likely presented you with the option of porcelain veneers or cosmetic bonding. There are some distinct disadvantages to both options that Bioclear® can address. Firstly, bonding is less expensive, but the material used will not adhere as well to your tooth as Bioclear®. It will not last as long as a Bioclear® restoration which means you'll be in the dentist chair again paying to fix the same problem down the road. Secondly, porcelain veneers, although the same price as Bioclear® come with a cost. The removal of some tooth structure is necessary to make room for the thin porcelain shell. Dr. Giesy believes minimally invasive procedures that do not require any loss of healthy tooth structure, such as Bioclear®, are the superior choice for dental care that can save you money in the long term. With Bioclear®, you get a superior restoration that is minimally invasive and will save you the cost of future dental work and office visits for the same issue. How does Bioclear® save you time?

Unlike porcelain veneers or crowns, the entire Bioclear® procedure takes only one visit to complete, giving you instant results without repeat appointments. The smile imperfections that have bothered you for years can be gone in just a matter of a few hours!

Discomfort? Not with Bioclear®!

Traditional methods for repairing decay with amalgam and composite materials have limitations and are prone to leaking, cracking, and chipping. The Bioclear® procedure allows us to keep more of your tooth structure when restoring your tooth, minimizing sensitivity. A full porcelain crown requires the removal of 70% of the tooth to accommodate the bulk of the restoration. With Bioclear®, only the decay is removed, leaving all healthy tooth structure. If the nerve is healthy, a root canal will not be necessary, eliminating the extra expense and future complications that could entail. The Bioclear® procedure itself is painless. Furthermore, we will make your visit the most comfortable you've ever had at a dentist's office with relaxation-inducing amenities such as neck pillows, comfy blankets, massage chairs, and headphones.
