We know the world of dental insurance benefits, deductibles, co-pays, etc. can be difficult to navigate. That’s why the team here at Giesy Dental is always ready to answer questions to help you understand your options. It’s important for you to make your benefits work for you! That’s why we want to remind our Tacoma dental patients to use their 2015 dental insurance benefits before they disappear! Most insurance plans will reset on January 1, 2016. You could save hundreds of dollars by taking advantage of your remaining benefits before the year ends!

Do you want to throw hundreds of dollars in the garbage can?

We didn’t think so. You’ve already paid for your benefits; make sure you use them! Here are four things you need to know to maximize the benefits you’ve paid for: 1. Any money you’ve already spent toward your deductible will roll back to zero on January 1, 2016. If you’ve met your deductible or are close to it, you could save money by completing treatments this year instead of next year. Call your insurance company to find out how much has been applied toward your deductible and what treatments might be covered. 2. Preventive appointments, including exams, cleanings, and x-rays, are typically covered in full. Did you visit Tacoma dentist, Dr. Giesy, twice this year? If not, call now to schedule another cleaning before the year-end deadline (and remember to schedule cleanings for your family members as well)! You’ve already paid for these valuable visits, don’t miss out! 3. If you have a healthcare flexible spending account, you will lose any unused funds in it at the end of the year (or grace period, depending on your plan). Remember, these funds can be used for dental care! 4. Delaying treatment could be costly. Avoiding treating a simple cavity now could turn into a root canal later. Prevent more extensive and costly treatments later by taking advantage of your benefits before the end of this year! It’s already October - benefit from your benefits before the year runs out! As always, if you need any assistance navigating your dental insurance benefits, we’re happy to help out. You can visit our New Patients page which has forms and information about insurance billing to find answers to your questions. If you don't see the answer there, than please feel free to contact us, we are here to help you! Call us now at (253) 752-6630 or contact us with any questions and to book appointments for you and your family and take advantage of your benefits before they disappear. Our schedule fills up fast around the end of the year, so don’t delay!
